Certain breeds of goats, such as Angoras and Cashmeres, are prized for their luxurious fibres, which are used to make wool and cashmere fabrics.

Reproduction: Female goats, called does, typically have a gestation period of around 5 months and give birth to one or two kids, although triplets or even quadruplets are possible in some cases. Kids are born precocial and can stand and nurse shortly after birth. They are cared for by their mothers and remain with the herd for protection and socialization.

Conservation Status: Domestic goats are not considered endangered, and their populations are stable in many parts of the world.
